The editor-in-chief of the Novaya Gazeta, Dmitry Muratov, proposed that the founders of the Give Life charity foundation, Chulpan Khamatova and Dinu Korzun, be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Dina Korzun refused this honor, saying that apparently does not deserve it. She explained her words to being the only “face” of the foundation, and the real work was carried out by doctors and those who donate money. However, its co-founder, Chulpan Khamatova, was so imbued with her that she took this proposal seriously. Since the candidate can be nominated by members of the Nobel Committee, parliaments and governments, the Hague court, university professors in political science, law, history and philosophy, as well as the winner of this award, Mikhail Gorbachev agreed to submit the proposal to the Nobel committee. He himself received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1990.
Commentators on the Internet immediately noted that the support of a charitable foundation cannot be the basis for nominating a candidate for receiving the peace prize. Fevronia tweets gives a well-known example: “The Nobel Peace Prize is given not for“ big Heart and Soul ”and not even for charity, but for strengthening world peace. Mother Teresa was given it with the wording:“ protecting the integrity of human dignity ". Well done Korzun, publicly refused."
I will add that in the Holy Scripture it says: "When you are doing alms, let your left hand not know what your right hand is doing."
