What is Linkedin?

Linkedin is a social network for professionals. It differs from VKontakte and Odnoklassniki in that it is initially used for job search, forging professional contacts and for obtaining useful information: working councils, opinions about companies, etc.

Why is Linkedin useful?

Having learned what it is and even having registered in it, some simply add colleagues and friends to friends and communicate when necessary only with them (or do not communicate at all). However, in Linkedin you can also:

  • receive interesting job offers from various employers;
  • get useful professional advice and information, consisting of numerous groups belonging to your specialty;
  • to find out about work in certain companies "from the inside" by contacting the employees working in them;
  • keep track of the vacancies of the companies you are interested in by subscribing to their pages.

Most often, Linkedin to search for employees is used by foreign recruiters, but in recent years, our HRs (Human Resource) are beginning to actively look for staff through this social network.
