When the heating season ends: everything depends on the weather
Central heating batteries emitting heatflowing on them hot water, appeared in the houses of ancient Romans. In our country, one of the first such system was equipped with the Summer Palace of Peter I. Well, widely known today, cast-iron batteries appeared in the late nineteenth century.
Soon this invention won a deservedpopularity and has become increasingly installed in the apartments of urban residents. In Russia, this peak occurred during the post-revolutionary period, when there was a boom in the development of industry.
Over time, the appearance of the batteries changed, modernized and their design. Only the main principle of work remained unchanged. Mass installation of batteries began to be carried out in all houses under construction, and the concept of centralized heating became commonplace for city dwellers. At the same time, ordinary citizens every spring began to worry: "And when the heating season ends?". And over time, the answer to it changed.
At all simplicity of the given question, correctthe answer is difficult to find. To what can you tie this moment: to a specific date or to the weather? Since the maintenance of this system was transferred to the municipal services, it took a long time, the existing question was supplemented with one more: "How to use the resources necessary to maintain heat in houses as economically as possible?".
What was before and what became today
For a while back to the question of whenthe heating season is coming to an end, you could be boldly answered by giving a specific date. On the one hand, it seems logical to tie this moment to the calendar. On the other hand, it is known that on the same day in different years the temperature can differ substantially. And it's not a secret for anyone that, for example, in Moscow at the end of April there may be a thirty-degree heat, and light frosts. Therefore, in one year the inhabitants will languish with the stuffiness in their houses, and in the other they will freeze.
That's why today on the question of whenthe heating season comes to an end, the answer is given depending on specific climatic conditions. Indeed, in fact, in addition to temperature fluctuations in different years, the weather varies significantly in different regions. So, in Astrakhan in April already there is a stable hot weather, and in the cities in the north there is still snow.
As a result, the government adopted a resolution, regulating the time to turn the batteries on and off. The heating season ends when the average temperature for 5 days is at least eight degrees with a plus sign. Conversely, if the same number of days the air does not warm up to this mark, the heat supply to the apartments begins.
In addition, we can say that in the case ofreceiving an unfavorable forecast, the regional authorities have the right to resume the heating season. Moscow has already experienced a similar experience, when after the warm weather, which was the basis for its end, the cold came and the heat supply resumed.
To the question: "When does the heating season end?" - the residents of some cities answer: "Never." Indeed, residents of some settlements of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District live with constantly working batteries. So such an answer is correct. Well and on the average heating in houses in our country is submitted more than 200 days in a year.
